ASTA applauds the innovation and commitment that these educators have shown to their students and to the teaching profession. The following educators have been selected out of a statewide pool of applicants: Classroom Grant recipients: Jonathan Bates, Mt. Ida Donna Whisenhunt, Mt. Ida Karon Parrish, Star City Theresa Palmertree, Danville Teacher Scholarship recipients: Audra Weeks, Bentonville Kassadi Driggers, Maumelle Stephanie Turner, White Hall Patricia Taylor, Searcy Sarah Dooly, Charleston Tally Mars, Greenbrier Laura West, Hot Springs Kari Ovsak, Bentonville Congratulations! Thanks to all who applied but were not selected to receive a scholarship or grant in this spring competition. The ASTA Scholarships and Grants Program is held twice a year in the fall and spring. Please consider applying for the next round of scholarships and grants. The deadline for the upcoming fall competition is October 31, 2012. The summer months are a perfect time to apply.
