MATHCOUNTS, the rigorous math competition for all 6th through 8th grade students, is this weekend at the UCA campus!

Often called the “spelling bee of math," the competition consists of a series of math problems for middle school students in a timed environment.

One ASTA member remarked, "MATHCOUNTS is a wonderful organization that many top universities like Harvard, Vanderbilt, and MIT pay attention to." It's great to see that teachers and community members are taking note of this excellent program and opportunity.

The state competition will take place this Saturday at the UCA campus. Registration will begin at 1:00 P.M.

Volunteers are still needed for the event to grade exams and proctor sessions. If you would like to volunteer your time on Saturday from noon to 6pm, please contact MATHCOUNTS Coordinator, Zane Lewis, at zlewis001@gmail.com or call at 479-200-3818.
